Dimitris Glezos is the Founder and CEO of Transifex, a Scale Up Cohort 4 company dedicated to helping businesses grow their global presence through efficient and scalable localization solutions. By helping companies manage language barriers and cultural nuances, Transifex enables businesses to scale faster and more effectively. With a background as a software engineer and a love for problem-solving, Dimitris identified a growing need in the market for managing multilingual content as the world became more digital and interconnected.
Previously, Dimitris was the Project Leader and Board Member at Fedora Project where he developed a translation application that won a Google SoC grant, led improvements for 2,000 translators, and served on the Documentation Steering Committee. He contributed to managing content for millions of users and participated in testing and quality assurance for international software. Beyond his role at Transifex, Dimitris is a Managing Partner at Palmares Advisors where he works with investors and technology entrepreneurs to find the right acquirer to maximize value.
Currently at Transifex, Dimitris has secured $8.5M in funding from leading Silicon Valley venture capitalists, helped the company achieve profitability, and played significant roles in its acquisition in 2022. Beyond his career, Dimitris Glezos completed an MPhil in Computer Science at the University of Manchester. He also holds a Diploma in Computer Science and an MEng in Computer Engineering and Informatics from the University of Patras.
