Michail Desyllas is the Co-founder and COO of Ai Build, a company specializing in large-scale additive manufacturing and a member of the Scale Up 6th Cohort. He is dedicated to improving manufacturing efficiency and sustainability through AI-powered software that addresses the limitations of traditional 3D printing, which can be unreliable and cumbersome.

Michail’s journey into the world of advanced manufacturing began with a foundation in architecture, where his work at Zaha Hadid Architects as a Project Associate and Lead Designer played a significant role in shaping his innovative approach. During his time at Zaha Hadid, he contributed to several high-profile international projects, particularly in the aviation and cultural sectors. It was during his time at the Architectural Association’s Design Research Lab, where he earned a Master of Architecture in Advanced Algorithmic Geometries, that Michail’s passion for combining design, computation, and technology began to take shape. This education not only deepened his understanding of complex systems but also laid the foundation for his later work at Ai Build
