Roberto Coustas is the Co-founder and CEO of DeepSea Technologies, a Scale Up Cohort 1 company. Roberto and his childhood friend, now Co-Founder, Konstantinos Kyriakopoulos, shared a strong bond that evolved into a professional partnership. In 2016, their vision of using AI to enhance efficiency in the shipping industry led them to found DeepSea Technologies.

Roberto’s educational background includes a Master’s in Computer Science from Oxford University, where a challenging course on artificial intelligence sparked his passion for technology, and a Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from UCL in 2014. These academic experiences laid the foundation for his innovative approach to the shipping industry. Initially uncertain about his career path, Roberto’s interest in technology solidified during his university years. He has driven DeepSea's growth by placing sustainability at the core of its mission.
