Vangelis Koukis is the Founder and CTO of Arrikto, a Scale Up Cohort 2 company offering a machine learning platform that streamlines operations for businesses with large amounts of data. Arrikto’s products have been widely adopted by those seeking to manage code being deployed at scale. Vangelis Koukis has over two decades of expertise in building scalable systems across the entire tech stack, from frontend interfaces to the Linux kernel. Throughout his career, he has led large, cross-functional engineering teams, focusing on delivering innovative and robust technical solutions. 

Vangelis brings into his roles a PhD in Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, where he also earned his diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Before founding Arrikto, Vangelis held the role of Technical Lead for ~okeanos cloud at GRNET, where he led the team in designing and scaling one of the largest public IaaS cloud services in Greece. He managed the engineering team responsible for scaling the service to over 10,000 active VMs and developing innovative cloud infrastructure solutions used by researchers and academics globally.
