Vassiliki Rentoumi is the founder and CEO of LANGaware, as well as an accomplished academic with over 10 years of experience in the intersection of computational linguistics, natural language processing, and machine learning in the early detection of neurodegenerative and psychiatric diseases. Before launching LANGaware, Vassiliki held various research positions in the UK and Greece at notable institutions, including Associate Researcher in Computational Linguistics and Natural Language Processing, Postdoctorate and Honorary Research Fellow at St. George's University of London, and Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Greek National Center for Scientific Research "Demokritos." With the support of her long-term, in-depth experience and expertise in the field, Vassiliki founded LANGaware in 2019 to transform how neurological diseases like Alzheimers are predicted and monitored, by detecting and tracking digital biomarkers based on language and speech. LANGaware's innovative approach, which leverages machine learning and language biomarkers, has the potential to revolutionize the field of neurological disease detection, offering a new way to detect and diagnose diseases of this kind at an early stage.

Vassiliki has taken her work in academia and transformed it into an holistic solution to help those that may be at risk or struggling with mental and cognitive health challenges. Tackling the issue of late diagnosis at the root, LANGaware offers a platform that leverages the power of speech to allow early diagnosis of diseases like Alzheimers.
