Phil Kafarakis is a seasoned leader in the global food industry, with more than 35 years of C-suite experience driving innovation and transformation. He most recently served as President & CEO of the International Foodservice Manufacturers Association (IFMA), where he led one of the most influential institutions in the food sector, coming full circle in a career dedicated to shaping the future of food. Prior to IFMA, Phil was President of the Specialty Food Association (SFA), representing over 3,800 food artisans, importers, and innovators in the $140 billion U.S. specialty food industry.
A nationally recognized industry insider, Phil is a frequent speaker on the future of the U.S. food market, disruptive innovation, and entrepreneurship. His thought leadership has been featured in Progressive Grocer, FoodDive, and Ivey Business Journal. Phil earned his BSBA from Nothern Arizona University and his IEMBA from Georgetown University McDonough School of Business.
