Savvas Georgiou is the Co-founder and Product Director of Welcome Pickups, a global travel service and member of Scale Up 5th Cohort, dedicated to elevating the traveler experience through innovative technology. Savvas is instrumental in contributing to Welcome Pickup’s mission in creating memorable human experiences and delivering authenticity. With Savvas's leadership, Welcome Pickups has expanded its offerings to include mobile apps for drivers, tools for hotels, agents, and travel partners, ensuring seamless integration and top-tier service for travelers around the world. 

Savvas’s journey into technology and entrepreneurship was shaped by his educational background. He earned a degree in Computer Science & Electrical Engineering from NTUA, where his technical expertise and problem-solving skills began to flourish, setting the foundation for his future innovations in the tech and travel industries.

Before founding Welcome Pickups, Savvas career was rooted in web development and leadership roles. He served as CTO of Daily Secret where he guided technology development and software architecture while managing teams, successfully securing $3M in funding, expanding the company’s presence to 25 cities, and growing its subscriber base to 1.5 million. He was also the CTO of Liberis Publications, he oversaw the revamp of the digital and mobile presence for major titles like Vogue, Glamour, Men's Health, and CN Traveler.
