BIO

Growthfund is the National Investment Fund of Greece, established in 2016 as a holding company wholly owned by the Greek State and represented by the Minister of National Economy and Finance. As the asset manager of a significant portfolio of State-Owned Enterprises and strategic participations, it plays a central role in enhancing national prosperity and driving sustainable economic growth.

Its mission is to modernize public enterprises, maximize the value of state assets, and improve service delivery to citizens and consumers. Through strong governance, targeted investments, and long-term strategic planning, Growthfund aims to create shared value across the economy, society, and the environment.

The Group oversees a portfolio of 16 subsidiaries and participations across six key sectors: energy; transport and infrastructure; technology and innovation; real estate management; postal services; and food supply. Collectively, these entities employ over 25,000 people and have a direct impact on everyday life in Greece.

In parallel, Growthfund manages the Project Preparation Facility (PPF), responsible for developing and tendering strategic projects exceeding €8 billion, accelerating infrastructure modernization and investment readiness.

Acting as a long-term, responsible shareholder, Growthfund contributes to the resilience, competitiveness, and modernization of the Greek economy—ensuring public assets generate sustainable value for current and future generations.
