Greece, 27th July, 2023 - Endeavor, the international organization that supports the growth of innovation ecosystems in over 40 underserved markets and has been present in Greece for 11 years now, is announcing the 6th batch of its ScaleUp Program. ScaleUp is the first international program for Greek Innovation, which selects and brings together the most promising rising stars entrepreneurs from around the world who have ties or want to connect with Greece. Today, the organization welcomes 10 fast-growing companies and their innovative high-impact founders to its network. With this addition, we will have 82 rapidly growing companies in our portfolio that will have raised a total of over $925M and created more than 8K jobs globally.
The promising ScaleUp companies entering the Endeavor ScaleUp 6th Batch have managed to raise approximately $85M USD and hire over 280 people. Interestingly, the largest percentage of the newly selected cohort is in the fintech sector, while for the first time we have a company active in the space/satellite tech sector, as well as a femtech company focused on women's hormonal data.
The 10 new ScaleUp members have been carefully selected by 20 key players from the global tech scene and mentors of the global Endeavor network, indicatively Mr. Mohamed Azab (Grinta), Ms. Paulina Skrzypinska (Chief Innovation Officer at BNP Paribas Bank and Endeavor Poland Board Member), Mr. Christos Kolimenakis (Managing Director, Strategic Investment Lead & Payments at JP Morgan), Ms. Kristina Serafim (General Partner at Untethered Ventures, ex Verizon Ventures), Mr. James Christopoulos (Managing Director at CVC Capital Partners) among others.
