Apostolos is an entrepreneur turned investor in the technology sector. He was a cofounder at e-shop.gr, e-food.gr, (acquired by Delivery Hero), Doctoranytime and an early investor in Beat (acquired by Freenow).
As an angel investor Apostolos has invested in many startups including Jeeves, Spotahome, Booksy and Packhelp.
In 2016 he cofounded VentureFriends a VC fund that invests in early-stage software startups across Europe and Mena, with a sweet spot in Fintech, Consumer and Marketplaces. Apart from Athens, VentureFriends has team members based in London, Warsaw and Barcelona.
VentureFriends has raised 170 M euros over 3 funds and has supported 40+ startups including Blueground, Instashop (exited), Belvo, Flexcar, Huspy, Carmoola, Spotawheel, Plum, WelcomePickups and Yourhero.
Apostolos studied civil engineering at the National Technical University of Athens and later received an MBA from Columbia Business School.
